Socio-Economic Development Index 2017 Has Been Published.
Socio-Economic Development Index 2017 (SEGE 2017) of provinces and districts have been published. Former SEGE studies, published at the provincial level in 2011 and at the district level in 2004, was updated by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, General Directorate of Development Agencies.
Socio-economic development ranking studies aims to analyze and compare the development levels of districts, provinces and regions with variables that represent different dimensions of socio-economic development. These studies are used by both the Ministry of Industry and Technology and many other public institutions as references in many areas such as public investments, incentive policies and human resources policies.
In the SEGE 2017 study, 52 variables were used in 8 sub-categories which are demography, employment, education, health, competitive and innovative capacity, financial, accessibility, quality of life.
TR63 Region Rose 2 Steps And Ranked 19th.
TR63 Region, which ranked 21st in the study conducted in 2011, was ranked 19th by rising 2 steps according to 2017 figures. Among the provinces of the region, Hatay was ranked 39th by rising 7 steps, Kahramanmaraş was ranked 58th by rising 2 steps, and Osmaniye ranked 54th.
The Highest Ranking Of Socio-Economic Index Of Our Region Was İskenderun.
İskenderun took the first place among 33 districts in TR63 Region. İskenderun also ranks 68th among Turkey's 970 districts. In our region, İskenderun district is followed by Antakya and Dulkadiroğlu districts, respectively.
